VSEI is an organization devoted to helping development in India by assisting in improving education and making it more relevant. We are a nonprofit, non-political organization, and work by contacting interested groups and schools in different parts of India and taking up work on education-related projects. VSEI was founded in 1968 and was incorporated as a non-profit organization in the state of Connecticut in 1973. Contributions to VSEI are income tax deductible in the category 501(c)(3)(2). VSEI is loosely organized as several local chapters, with the overall direction given by a Board of Directors.
